Custom Leather Travelers' Notebooks
If you have an idea about a design for a leather planner cover, journal or Travelers' Notebook, you've come to the right place. We've been making custom carved leather notebooks since 2015 and there's a pretty good chance we can make your idea real. We take on a limited number of commissions and the production time is generally 4-8 weeks, though this will vary depending on our workload.

What sort of designs can we do?
Leather can be carved and dyed to create quite complex designs. It helps us if you are familiar with our books--the galleries on here and our Facebook and Instagram pages should give you a pretty good idea of what we can do.
We can work from a finished image, or from as little as a written description, though our prices are usually lower if we are working from a finished design.
We can carve and tool the design, or pyrograph or engrave it, or a combination of all three.
Normally we do custom designs on larger size books--B6 and above. Smaller sizes are possible but usually cost the same as the larger ones because the amount of design time and work is likely to be the same.
We can decorate all surfaces of the book, including pockets and the back cover, and we can supply matching inserts and other themed accessories like wallet inserts, pen cases, and dust bags too.
What We Can't (or Won't) do:
We do have some commission guidelines. These are ones that are non-negotiable. We won't take on:
- designs that promote extreme right wing political agendas or foster hate speech or discrimination against anybody, for whatever reason.
- designs that we know are going to look genuinely awful or won't work.
- designs that are purely leatherwork, such as bags with built in books, planner covers with zip fastenings and flip pocket sections and so on.
In general we don't do predominantly pastel covers, human beings, sickly cute stuff, or custom orders that are basically brown undecorated books, BUT occasionally we do if we feel like it, so it's always worth asking.

Price very much depends on the complexity of the design and how much design work we have to do to make your ideas real.
As a general guideline though:
- B6, Standard, Cahier and A5 sized books with pockets, full stitching and a fully carved and coloured front cover will cost between £85 to £170.
- B5, Composition, and A4 to a similar specification will be around £120 - £250.
- Extra carving on the rear cover and pockets may incur extra cost.
- We normally supply one matching insert for free.
- UK shipping is free and there is an international shipping contribution of £10 per parcel.
